We are supporting a large-scale Workday Financials implementation and are seeking an experienced Workday Core Financials / Record-to-Report (R2R) Consultant to join the team during the critical final phase leading up to go-live. This consultant will provide hands‑on functional expertise to address emerging items, deliver rapid‑turn configuration and testing support, and remain engaged through final testing and cutover activities to ensure a successful July 1st go‑live.
This role is primarily remote, with required travel to Georgia: 1 week in May | 2 weeks in June | 3 weeks in July (through Go‑Live).
- Support the implementation team during the final pre‑go‑live phase, ensuring timely resolution of emerging functional items.
- Serve as a Functional Consultant across Workday Core Financials and Record‑to‑Report modules.
- Provide design options, recommendations, and configuration guidance aligned with Workday best practices.
- Conduct business requirement and configuration reviews, identifying gaps and recommending solutions.
- Support system configuration, end‑to‑end testing, readiness assessments, and cutover activities.
- Assist with rapid issue resolution during testing cycles and stabilization.
- Facilitate Workday Financials demonstrations to highlight system capabilities and optimal workflows.
- Provide consultative guidance to business stakeholders transitioning from legacy financial systems.
- Build strong relationships across diverse state agency stakeholders and represent the implementation team professionally.
- 5+ years of hands‑on functional experience implementing Workday Core Financials and Record‑to‑Report modules.
- 5+ years of experience with requirements gathering, solution design, documentation, configuration, testing, and go‑live support.
- Proven experience supporting late‑stage implementation activities, including testing and cutover.
- Strong understanding of Workday Financials best practices and enterprise accounting processes.
- Ability to explain complex Workday Financial concepts to non‑technical stakeholders through clear documentation, presentations, and demonstrations.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong consultative mindset with the ability to educate, influence, and guide decision‑making.
- Experience supporting state government or large public‑sector Workday Financials implementations.
- W2 hourly rate starts at $105. Pay rates are based on experience, qualifications, and location, and are subject to change at any time.
