Senior Cyber Security Engineer

The Security Engineer will be responsible to actively promote, maintain and validate the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the organizational information assets. This will be done in compliance with company security policies, standards and best practices. The Security Engineer will work across functional/divisional lines to develop and implement IT Security strategies, policies, and procedures. They will carry out all phases of information systems/networks security program that involves access to computers and computerized data.

They will conduct regular audits to ensure that systems are being operated securely, and information systems security policies and procedures are being implemented as defined in security plans. They will conduct investigations of computer security violations and incidents as well as any associated reporting requirements. They Security Engineer will respond to queries and requests for computer security information and reports.

Promote, maintain and validate the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the organizational information assets

• Implement IT Security strategies, policies, and procedures
• Conduct vulnerability assessments of information systems including regular audits, and facilitate the mitigation of findings
• Respond to security related help desk tickets by conducting investigations
• Analyze Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Prevention logs under technical direction
• Provide primary support for Delta Community Credit Union's own security products and services
• Present security status reports and project status to management and business
• Resolve technology support issues for employees which may require desk-side assistance
• Promote security awareness in the organization
• Assist with patch management of all systems

• 7+ years' applicable experience in information security
• 5+ years' experience in design/administration/support of one or more platforms
• 5+ years' experience must be specialized in IT Security
• Experience in hardening, and administration of, Windows OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, and Cisco technologies.
• Knowledge of various aspects and components of information security such as encryption methods/standards, real-time intruder detection, perimeter security, event correlation, authentication services, vulnerability analysis, and incident handling and forensics.

• Knowledge of SIEM technology
• Analyzing vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and audits and applying solutions to remediate issues.
• Network Access Control (NAC), experience with Fore Scout Counter
  
  ACT or similar tool
• IPS / IDS Technologies
• Next Generation Firewalls
• Web Application Firewall (WAF) technology experience such as F5 Advanced WAF Security
• VPN -- Site-to-Site, and Cisco Any Connect Client experience
• Anti-Malware and Anti-Spam tools
• Knowledge of Identity and Access Management technologies and processes
• Web Content Filtering, experience using Cisco Secure Web Appliance and/or Umbrella or similar technology
• Data Classification
• Network and Architecture -- VLANS, subnets
• Patch and configuration management

The role can pay between 55-65/hr on W2.
