Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking a hands on Machine Learning Engineer to design and build a production grade intelligent coaching recommendation system. This role will lead the architecture and development of a solution that combines custom machine learning models, large language model (LLM) analysis, and agent-based decision systems to improve performance outcomes.

This is a startup-style, high-ownership role within an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will operate as a technical lead and architect while remaining deeply hands-on in building and deploying the system.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, data science, or machine learning engineering
• Strong experience building and deploying custom machine learning models in production environments
• Experience working with NLP and/or large language models for text analysis
• Demonstrated ability to architect solutions and select appropriate technologies rather than simply implementing predefined stacks
• Experience working in enterprise environments with secure AI platforms

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design an end-to-end AI system combining NLP/LLM analysis with traditional machine learning models
• Build custom machine learning models for performance prediction and recommendation logic
• Design text-processing pipelines for analyzing coaching comments
• Define and implement agent-based decision workflows
• Establish evaluation frameworks to measure system effectiveness and improvement over time
• Collaborate with data engineering and Dev Ops teams to deploy and scale production-grade solutions
• Recommend and select appropriate architectures, tools, and frameworks based on business needs

What you will do:

• Use LLMs to analyze unstructured coaching comments and extract themes, sentiment, and skill gaps
• Apply custom machine learning models to structured performance metrics
• Design and implement an agent layer that recommends who to coach, what to coach on, and how to coach
• Track performance outcomes and build feedback loops to continuously improve recommendation accuracy
• Operate in a secure enterprise AI environment (internal GPT instance)

Nice to Have

• Experience with agentic workflows or multi-step AI reasoning systems
• Experience with Snowflake and/or Snowflake Cortex
• Experience operating within regulated or large enterprise environments
