Development Architect – Integrated Order Management

The IOM Development Architect has specific development accountability for custom IOM solutions as well as integrations with internal and external systems. This position will work with the IOM Product Architects, Production Support Team, bottler partners and cross-functional CONA teams to gather requirements for approved Features, develop technical solutions, support testing cycles, and deliver high-quality technical solutions. The IOM Development Architect will operate within an agile team composed of employees and contractors (onshore and offshore) and will collaborate closely with other Product and Platform teams.

This role reports to the Product Director – Integrated Order Management.

• Provide deep technical ABAP expertise across SAP SD, Pricing, and various other modules to support bottlers and the Coca-Cola Company community.
• Execute assigned backlog items as prioritized by the Product Director, including estimating development effort, writing/refining technical user stories, creating technical design documents, developing and testing custom code, preparing release documentation, delivering solution demos, and providing knowledge transfer to the Production Support Team.
• Develop and maintain interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData services, and other integration technologies.
• Support Production operations, including troubleshooting incidents, providing guidance to the Support Team for resolving defects, analyzing root causes, and implementing long-term fixes.
• Collaborate with Product Architects to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.
• Follow agile SDLC standards and practices to ensure consistent, transparent delivery in partnership with scrum masters.
• Ensure all development complies with security, architecture, and coding standards, working in alignment with platform architects and review boards.
• Contribute to value realization and optimization of deployed solutions through continuous improvement and performance tuning.
• Meet product-related SLAs and CONA metrics, including delivery of Features, User Stories, Incidents, Problems, Change Requests, and accurate cost/time estimates.
• Collaborate across all CONA teams to ensure integrated, end-to-end solution delivery.
• Travel up to 25% to bottler sites for workshops, discovery sessions, pilots, and stakeholder alignment.

• Broaden your technical and functional expertise through hands‑on responsibility in new areas (e.g., integration patterns, Dev Ops tooling, performance optimization).
• Develop best‑practice SAP solutions using Agile/Dev Ops delivery processes.
• Gain exposure to industry/FMCG trends and emerging SAP technologies, including vendor roadmaps.

• Ability to work autonomously and confidently with both business stakeholders and technical teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to advocate for technical recommendations in complex business environments.
• Comfortable working within a large, diverse, global project team with multiple partners.
• 7+ years of hands‑on ABAP development experience in SAP ECC and/or S/4 HANA.
• Strong expertise in SD, Pricing, business processes and data structures.
• Extensive experience with SAP integration technologies, including IDocs (inbound/outbound), BAPIs, RFCs, OData.
• Experience with Postman and similar tools preferred.
• Experience with webIDE, BAS, Visual Studio Code.
• Demonstrated experience developing using SAP Clean Core principles, including side‑by‑side extensibility, RAP, and adherence to SAP’s modernization guidelines.
• Experience with modern ABAP techniques (ABAP OO, CDS Views, AMDP).
• Production support experience, including debugging and performance tuning.
