Senior Manager, Financial Systems

About the position

The Director of Financial Systems will lead and oversee the organization’s financial systems strategy, ensuring optimal performance, integration, and compliance across platforms. This role is responsible for managing financial operations processes, coordinating system administration for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F+O), and driving enhancements and upgrades to support business growth. The Director will collaborate with Finance, IT, and external partners to maintain system integrity, streamline workflows, and ensure secure access management.

• Provide strategic leadership for Microsoft Dynamics 365 F+O, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial best practices.
• Deep understanding of D365FO
  architecture:
  Master modules, data entities, workflows, and integration capabilities to design scalable, tailored solutions.
• Data management:
  Oversee data migration, transformation, and integration, including legacy system conversions and data validation strategies.
• ERP strategy and roadmap development:
  Define and drive long-term strategy for financial systems, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.
• Change management:
  Lead adoption of new systems and processes, fostering buy-in across finance, IT, and business stakeholders.
• Cross-functional collaboration:
  
  Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration and project success.
• Regulatory compliance and audit:
  Ensure systems meet evolving standards (SOX, GDPR), with robust audit trails and access controls.
• AI-driven analytics:
  Apply machine learning for predictive financial analysis, fraud detection, and process optimization.
• Digital transformation leadership:
  Drive adoption of new technologies and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
• Project management methodologies:
  Utilize Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches for managing complex ERP projects.
• Serve as primary liaison with system administrators, consultants, and technology vendors.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and data integrity across systems.
• May oversee a small team or coordinate cross-functional resources for system-related projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in financial operations and ERP systems management.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F+O) functionality and integration.
• Knowledge of accounting processes and internal controls.
• Familiarity with system access management and security principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience with system upgrades and vendor coordination.
• Microsoft certifications

  Pursue advanced certifications (e.g., Solution Architect Expert, Finance Functional Consultant Associate) to stay current with platform updates and best practices.
• I ndustry awareness:
  Keep up with trends in finance, ERP, and digital transformation to anticipate future needs.
