Senior Dev Ops Engineer – EDGE (Enterprise Decision Support & Data Governance)

Position Overview:We are seeking a Senior Dev Ops Engineer to support the Enterprise Decision Support and Data Governance (EDGE) initiative. This role is instrumental in implementing the Technology Organization’s (TO) Data Management and Analytics strategy. The engineer will enable agile, secure, and high-performing delivery pipelines and infrastructure that support data-driven applications and services. You will work closely with development, QA, security, and IT operations teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and efficiency across the platform.
KeyResponsibilities:1. Infrastructure Automation
Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops, TFS, or similar tools.
Write and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts (ARM, Bicep, Terraform) for resource provisioning and configuration in Azure.
Automate provisioning of Azure Machine Learning environments, Azure Databricks, App Services, and Data Lake Storage resources.
Implement monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
Collaborate with development teams to fine-tune application performance and reduce operational bottlenecks.
Enforce security best practices across environments, ensuring compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and collaborate with security teams for audit readiness.
Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for high-priority incidents.
Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions for critical infrastructure issues.
Collaborate across functions (data engineers, infrastructure, architects, security) to support seamless integration of services.
Champion Dev Ops culture and influence adoption of Dev Ops standards across EDGE projects.
Provision and automate Azure ML, Databricks, App Services, and Data Lakes.
Manage RBAC, managed identities, and network rules to ensure security compliance.
Support web portal development in collaboration with the EDGE Business Team; lead portal UI/UX reimplementation per published design standards.
Standardize deployment patterns and promote consistency across multiple data and infrastructure platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
10+ years of Dev Ops or IT engineering experience, preferably in cloud-first, enterprise environments.
Deep understanding of Azure services, including ARM templates, Terraform, Azure CLI, Power Shell, and Python scripting.
Solid background in CI/CD pipelines, web application deployment, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Expertise in Git-based version control systems and Dev Ops orchestration.
Familiarity with networking concepts, security architecture, and performance engineering.
Experience with ML/AI model deployment is a plus.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder communication skills.
Experience with data governance and data-driven platforms.
Familiarity with developing and managing enterprise-grade web portals.
Prior exposure to utility, energy, or regulated industries is beneficial.
