Position OverviewWe’re seeking a strategic and hands-on SEO Specialist to drive organic growth through advanced search optimization, AI-powered workflows, and high-quality copywriting. This role blends technical SEO expertise with strong content and writing skills, leveraging AI tools to scale content production, improve search visibility, and adapt to the evolving search landscape.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and execute SEO strategies aligned with Extu’s marketing goals, including local SEO and AI-driven/generative search experiences.
- Translate high-level SEO strategy into actionable plans across content, technical SEO, and on-page optimization.
- Conduct keyword, topic, and search intent research using traditional and AI-powered tools to inform content and conversion strategy.
- Perform regular technical SEO audits and partner with development teams to address crawling, indexing, performance, and structured data issues.
- Write, edit, and optimize SEO-driven copy while ensuring on-page elements (metadata, headers, internal linking, schema) follow best practices.
- Balance keyword optimization with brand voice, clarity, and conversion effectiveness.
- Optimize content structure, schema, entities, and brand signals to improve visibility and citation in AI-powered search results and assistants.
- Monitor Extu’s presence across AI-driven search platforms and adjust SEO strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with content, brand, PR, and marketing teams to develop SEO-focused content, optimize existing assets, and build topical authority.
- Own and optimize local SEO initiatives, including Google Business Profiles, local landing pages, and directory listings.
- Support link-building and authority growth through high-quality backlink and local citation opportunities.
- Track, analyze, and report on SEO performance metrics, using insights to continuously refine strategy and adapt to evolving search behavior and technology.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (required).
- 5+ years of experience in SEO management with a proven track record of success.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices (keyword research, on-page optimization, link building), including a deep knowledge of local SEO strategies.
- Experience with SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for SEO and a desire to stay ahead of the curve.
- Experience optimizing content for B2B or SaaS audiences.
- Familiarity with Word Press or other CMS platforms.
- Experience or strong interest in optimizing brands for generative search, AI assistants, or answer-based discovery platforms.
- Experience with social platforms such as Linked In, Tik Tok, Facebook, or Instagram.
- Understanding of Agile or other project management methodologies.
