The Manager – Data Engineering & Analytics Delivery will lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise data engineering and analytics solutions. This role ensures projects are executed effectively, changes are managed with minimal disruption, and releases are deployed securely and efficiently. The position requires a strong balance of technical expertise, delivery governance, and leadership competencies.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate deep knowledge of data platforms, ETL/ELT frameworks, and analytics solutions.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate reporting and compliance requirements into technical solutions.
- Oversee the delivery of scalable, metadata-driven data pipelines.
- Apply test-driven development and CI/CD practices to data solutions.
- Ensure auditability, compliance, and transparency in reporting.
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices (e.g., automated testing, CI/CD for data pipelines).
- Manage complex data engineering and analytics projects to successful completion.
- Define scope, objectives, milestones, and resource allocation aligned with business priorities.
- Track progress using agile/hybrid methodologies with clear stakeholder communication.
- Proactively mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and ensure successful outcomes.
- Implement structured change control processes to ensure stability and adoption.
- Maintain documentation of changes, approvals, and rollback plans.
- Communicate change impacts across business and IT stakeholders.
- Champion adoption of new tools, processes, and frameworks.
- Oversee release planning, deployment, and compliance for data solutions.
- Own release calendar and coordinate deployment activities.
- Implement automated release pipelines with regression testing.
- Ensure compliance with audit, security, and governance standards.
- Drive efficiency and innovation in data engineering and analytics delivery.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes.
- Benchmark against industry best practices and introduce improvements.
- Promote a culture of learning and innovation.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
- Experience:
- 10+ years in data engineering, analytics delivery, or related roles.
- 3+ years in project/change/release management.
- 3+ years in a data delivery leadership role.
- Strong expertise in Data Warehousing, SQL, ETL/ELT frameworks, Python, and cloud data platforms (Azure, Snowflake).
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Azure Dev Ops, Git).
- Experience building data pipeline with inbuilt Data Quality rules using tools like dBT
- Familiarity with SAP S/4
HANA or other ERP systems.
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with agile delivery frameworks and ITIL-based change/release processes.
