Client is looking for a skilled and experienced Quality analyst (tester). This role involves writing test cases, testing applications, validating results, and logging bugs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of testing Java programming language, and JCL on IBM/DELL mainframe operating systems. This is a consulting position offering a challenging opportunity to contribute to critical projects and enhance your technical skills in a dynamic environment.

• Analyzing business requirements and developing detailed test plans, scenarios, and test cases. Performing testing activities for Java programs on distributed platforms.
• Strong experience with database technologies such as Postgres and DB2, including queries and data verification.
• Executing test program changes, updating test files, running tests, reviewing results, and ensuring correctness of program changes based on provided requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with Jira tool.
• Preparing both program‑level and user‑level documentation to support the software development lifecycle.
• Organizing, managing, and providing clear guidance to teams to reach testing goals and tight deadlines with candor, transparency, and collaboration.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Testing Java programs.
• Proven experience with DB2 and Postgres.
• Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle, including writing test cases, executing test cases, integration testing, and deployment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, and debug computer software to produce required outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills to support non‑database functions, correct data errors, and develop data analysis/summary reports.
• Experience in preparing comprehensive documentation for both program‑level and user‑level.
• Excellent communication skills to obtain user sign‑off on all changes prior to moving to production.
• Capability to follow organization guidelines and procedures for checking out source code, migrating changes, etc.
• Commitment to enhancing software for improved efficiency and reduced operating time.
