The Senior Analyst, IT Applications is a functional IT role and will be responsible for support and enhancement of the Order to Billing, custom applications (Profield) and processes for the enterprise.
Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with key stakeholders in our business and functional analysts to shape business demand and prioritize that demand for delivery. Partner with the development organization to ensure timely delivery of a quality and scalable solution. Follow best practice processes while fulfilling functions of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) with consistency, quality and speed.
Requirement Gathering & AnalysisFor both project and non-project related enhancements, collaborate with business units to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements, ensuring that they are fully understood by both technical and business teams.
Solution DesignWork with IT architects and developers to design and propose IT solutions that meet business needs, ensuring that system functionalities are aligned with business processes.
System Configuration & TestingAssist in configuring software applications to meet business requirements, conduct functional testing, and collaborate with all teams to ensure that the solutions are tested thoroughly.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)Lead or assist with user acceptance testing, ensuring that the implemented IT solutions meet the expectations of business stakeholders and end-users. Partner with end users to devise and execute a user acceptance test plan by contributing to test case definition.
DocumentationMaintain detailed documentation of business requirements, process flows, functional specifications, and system configurations to ensure consistency and support future enhancements.
Training & SupportProvide training and support to business users on new or modified systems, ensuring smooth adoption of IT solutions and addressing any issues during the transition.
Knowledge & ExperienceSME in two or more areas:
Experience with business analysis tools (e.g., MS Visio, Azure Dev Ops, Confluence). Pathway to Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), ITIL Certification & PMP (Project Management Professional). Familiarity with SQL a plus.
Provide support to developers and operational teams to ensure seamless cut-over activities (including data migrations) and to engage in hypercare.
Qualifications- 5-7 years of related professional experience or more than 5 years business experience in a related domain (super user)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Order to Billing activities
- Minimum 5 years of experience as business analyst or functional support
- Inventory management experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of the access, specialized services, and forming and shoring solutions business is a plus.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
- Capable to initiate change, coordinate, scope, test and document technical and functional changes of high complexity
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify business needs, process gaps, and opportunities for IT-driven improvements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and resolve functional issues by working closely with both IT teams and business units.
- Organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proactive and adaptable, with a strong attention to detail.
- Mentor junior analysts, providing guidance, training, and support to help them develop their skills and expertise. Lead by example to set high standards for documentation, analysis, and process improvement.
- Maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors, ensuring effective communication and understanding of business needs and technical constraints.
- Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization, recommending IT solutions that can streamline business processes and enhance operational efficiency. - Project Management:
Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects, ensuring that functional requirements are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
