GA DOL - Sr Project Manager

Short Description

Experienced Project Managers needed for medium to large sized enterprise projects of moderate to high complexity and risk in a fast‑paced, hybrid environment. Candidate should have experience in both IT and business projects.

Local Metro Atlanta Candidates only. Certifications must be active and the resume must reflect all required skills in job performances. Local candidates are preferred.

• Plan, schedule development and maintenance, resource tracking, risk management, communications management, reporting, quality management, and vendor management for enterprise projects following PMI best practices and Georgia Department of Labor Project Management Methodology.
• Direct and coordinate project activities, manage all aspects of the project from start to finish.

• Project Management Certification (PMP) required.
• Experience managing large complex programs/projects using Agile, Waterfall, SCRUM, or Kanban.
• Documented recent experience in business requirements gathering, business process documentation, complete systems development life cycle and testing methodologies.
• Managed at least two full lifecycle agile software development projects (initiation through deployment/warranty) with teams of more than ten members and end‑to‑end project accountability.
• Experience managing IT projects impacting across the enterprise, with application development and implementation; collaboration with vendor partners.
• Strong oral, written, listening communication skills; analytical and negotiation skills; attention to detail.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and motivation skills.
• Expert‑level knowledge of MS Project Professional, SharePoint, Visio, MS Office Suite.
