Senior Service Now Developer
As a Senior Service Now Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing solutions on the Service Now platform to enhance IT service management and operational workflows. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will translate business requirements into innovative technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems. Your expertise will drive efficiency and innovation in the organization’s use of Service Now.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement Service Now solutions, including platform customizations and integrations.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine requirements.
- Configure and customize Service Now applications, modules, workflows, and automation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the Service Now platform.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, process flows, and user guides.
- Mentor junior developers and support overall team technical growth.
- Stay current with Service Now platform features, releases, and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with coding standards, security policies, governance processes, and Service Now best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and actively participate in design discussions and solution planning.
- Perform Service Mapping, Discovery, and Event Management configurations to enhance IT operations and visibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Service Now development and administration.
- Proficiency in Service Now APIs, JavaScript, HTML / CSS.
- Strong understanding of ITSM and ITOM processes, workflow automation, and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience with Service Now modules such as ITSM (IT Service Management), CSM / PSDS (Customer Service Management), HAM (Hardware Asset Management).
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Service Now certifications such as Service Now Certified Application Developer, Service Now Implementation Specialist.
- Experience with complex integrations and advanced ITOM capabilities.
