OverviewAIG is creating a new Generative AI team focused on exploring how artificial intelligence can benefit insurance and other industries. This early‑career analyst will help build and scale world‑class AI products, working closely with product managers, engineers, and business leaders.
Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of data science and generative AI models that deliver real‑world impact, including hands‑on data engineering.
- Collaborate with teams across the business—product managers, business leaders, engineers—to create data‑driven solutions that make a difference.
- Develop end‑to‑end data science & AI/ML projects, from conceptualization to operational rollout, ensuring alignment with ethical and regulatory standards.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment where knowledge sharing and creativity thrive among the data science community.
- Utilize Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and few‑shot techniques to enhance large‑language‑model performance on specific tasks.
- Drive continuous improvement of AI capabilities by staying at the forefront of emerging technologies and identifying how they can enhance operations.
- Contribute to day‑to‑day direction of multiple components of Data Science activities.
- Coursework in STEM (math, physics, statistics, computer or data science).
- Pursuing an advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of applied data science in a product development environment.
- Experience across the full machine‑learning lifecycle.
- Experience with frameworks to measure LLM efficacy, ground‑truth dataset quality, and guide product development roadmaps.
- Strong willingness to learn data science techniques such as Gen AI, deep learning, NLP, and NLU.
- Experience developing AI/ML models and using platforms like Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, and AWS Sage Maker.
- Proficiency with key Python packages for data wrangling and machine learning (pandas, scikit‑learn, Tensor Flow, PyTorch, transformers, Lang Chain, etc.).
- Data‑engineering skills in Python and PySpark.
- Knowledge of generative AI models, including GPT, VAE, and GAN architectures and their hyperparameters.

RequirementsCandidate must hold a master’s degree in a STEM major (Data Science, Computer Science, or Math) and receive the degree no later than June 2026 (unofficial transcript required for application).
