Role OverviewThe SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) Back-End Developer is responsible for developing high-quality software solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements for e-commerce platform projects. This role involves implementing, enhancing, and supporting SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) applications while adhering to industry best practices and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Gain proficiency in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) platform, including storefront development, management tools, and capabilities.
- Develop, customize, and test back-end components for e-commerce sites across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using technologies such as Java, Spring, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST/API services.
- Customize the platform’s storefront accelerator to deliver fully functional e-commerce solutions.
- Ensure all code complies with platform-specific and industry-leading practices, Capgemini coding standards, and performs well under load.
- Collaborate with Technical Architects, Technical Leads, and Application Coordinators to translate technical specifications into working solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily scrums, and contribute to team knowledge-sharing activities.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing and new code on the SAP Commerce platform.
- Accurately record time spent on tasks in project management and timekeeping systems.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework development.
- Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) platform.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and RESTful API integration.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and convert requirements into functional code.
- Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience customizing SAP Commerce storefront accelerator.
- Knowledge of performance optimization and best practices for high-load environments.
- Exposure to e-commerce domain and related technologies.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $65,200 - $158,550.
