The School of Computer Science at Georgia Institute of Technology seeks to hire a limited‑term Research Scientist to contribute to the School’s various research programs and projects. This is an on‑campus working position.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Professors Josiah Hester and Shaowen Bardzell on interdisciplinary sustainability research at the intersection of computing, design, and society.
- Conduct independent and collaborative research, write and contribute to grant proposals.
- Lead and co‑author peer‑reviewed publications.
- Design and execute studies that explore sustainable technologies, community engagement, and responsible AI systems.
- Coordinate diverse teams and translate research insights into impactful, real‑world outcomes.
- Research Scientist I:
Bachelor’s Degree. - Research Scientist II:
Three (3) years of relevant full‑time experience after completion of a Master’s degree or Five (5) years of relevant full‑time experience after completion of a Bachelor’s degree. - Doctoral Degree.
- Five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Doctoral Degree.
- Experience with HCI, qualitative coding and analysis.
