ML Data Engineer

We are looking for an ML Data Engineer based in Latin America to work on a long-term project for one of our clients, a Software Development company based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Our client is building a secure, bank-grade AI infrastructure and developing cutting-edge applications designed to power the next generation of modern banking and financial services.

The person in this role will be responsible for designing and scaling the data and model-serving systems that keep our client’s AI platform fast, reliable, and production-ready.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain APIs, microservices, and middleware layers to serve ML and LLM models at scale, ensuring high availability and low latency.
• Implement validation, observability, and monitoring frameworks for data and ML systems to ensure reliability, traceability, and performance.
• Work closely with ML scientists to translate experimental models into production-grade systems, ensuring seamless integration with broader data and platform infrastructure.
• Continuously evaluate, refactor, and improve ETL and model serving pipelines for cost efficiency, speed, and reliability.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for data workflows and model lifecycle management, including training, testing, deployment, and rollback.
• Share knowledge and mentor teammates on data engineering patterns, MLops practices, and scalable system design.

Requirements

• Advanced Level of English
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ML engineering, or similar technical roles.
• 3+ years of experience working with Python, with experience building and maintaining data or ML services in production.
• Proven experience designing and deploying agentic AI systems or complex orchestration flows.
• 1+ years of experience working with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Tensor Flow, or Hugging Face Transformers).
• 2+ years of experience with SQL and experience with both relational and non-relational databases.
• 2+ years of experience deploying and maintaining ML pipelines or services in production environments.
• Familiarity with API design, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
