GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

United Digestive’s (UD) Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) serves as a people champion and strategic advisor to senior leaders and managers within designated business units, aiming to increase team member engagement, productivity, and retention. This role leverages strong business acumen, analytical abilities, and change management expertise to advance organizational objectives. The Sr. HRBP transforms insights into meaningful results, supporting the development of a high-performance culture.

Demonstrating efficiency and adaptability, they effectively deliver outcomes that will have a lasting impact on the organization and team. With comprehensive knowledge of the business, the Sr. HRBP supports a multi-state healthcare organization undergoing growth through both organic expansion and acquisitions. The position requires a balance of strategic human resources leadership and hands-on operational execution, with a strong focus on complex employee relations, project-based initiatives, building and delivering presentations, and the application of data and analytics in decision-making processes.

REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources

Responsibilities
  • Serves as a strategic partner to managers, directors, and senior leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategy, while supporting them through complex organizational change initiatives.
  • Translates business goals into people strategies that support growth, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Coaches leaders on performance management, accountability, and change leadership through one-on-one touchpoints and group training sessions.
  • Leads and manages complex, escalated employee relations matters, including sensitive investigations, high-risk situations, and leadership-level issues, ensuring all necessary documentation is thorough, accurate, and saved appropriately.
  • Provides expert guidance on corrective action, performance improvement, terminations, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensures consistent application of policies while balancing risk mitigation and employee experience.
  • Partners closely with Legal, Compliance, and HR leadership to manage risk and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Manages and leads both HR and cross-functional projects from planning through execution, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication are met.
  • Owns or supports initiatives such as performance management, engagement surveys, recognition programs, leadership development, and process improvements.
  • Serves as a change agent to ensure successful adoption of new programs, tools, and processes.
  • Optimizes data collection and leverages HR analytics to identify and effectively present trends, talent risks, and opportunities in engagement, retention, performance, and workforce planning.
  • Translates data into clear, compelling insights and stories to support leader decision-making, develop action plans, drive accountability and results, and measure outcomes.
  • Supports workforce and succession planning, partnering with leaders on performance management, goal setting, and development planning.
  • Supports HR due diligence, onboarding, and integration efforts for acquisitions.
  • Partners with leaders to align culture, policies, and people practices post-acquisition.
  • Cross trains and performs any other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the organization.
Required Education, Skills, & Experience
  • Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
    • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partner or Senior HRBP experience.
    • Expertise in federal, state, and local employment, wage, and salary laws and regulations, including, but not limited to EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and OSHA.
    • Proven experience influencing business leaders and managers using solid reasoning, communication, and persuasion.
    • Experience managing complex and escalated employee relations matters.
    • Experience supporting multi-state and remote employee populations.
