6 Degrees Group is recruiting for a Payroll Specialist in Cobb County for our client within the construction and industrial services space. This role is responsible for the processing of high-volume payroll, including union payroll, compliance, reporting, and reconciliation. The ideal candidate brings strong payroll expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to operate with urgency in a deadline-driven, in-office environment.
This role is fully in office.
Responsibilities:
- Process and oversee end-to-end payroll, including wages, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefits.
- Maintain employee payroll data, union wage rates, classifications, and job costing accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, including union reporting and remittances.
- Prepare payroll reports, support audits, and resolve payroll discrepancies with management and employees.
- 5+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience required.
- Experience with construction or union payroll preferred;
Viewpoint Vista experience a plus. - Strong knowledge of payroll, employment, and income tax regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; high level of integrity and confidentiality required.
