Cosm is seeking a dynamic, people-first Human Resources Manager to join our Cosm venue team located in Atlanta, GA and to help shape the employee experience at the forefront of the future of entertainment. This role is both strategic and highly hands-on. You will be a trusted advisor to leaders, an advocate for employees, and an operational driver who thrives in a fast-paced, venue-based environment.
You will play a critical role in building culture, strengthening leadership capability, and ensuring operational excellence across the full employee lifecycle. This role needs to be on-site Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities- Partner closely with leadership, managers, and team members to strengthen relationships, build morale, improve productivity, and drive retention.
- Own and manage all day-to-day HR operations for the venue, balancing strategic initiatives with immediate people needs.
- Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle for supervisory and management roles, including workforce planning, job postings, candidate screening, interviews, hiring recommendations, etc.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions related to policies, procedures, programs, and workplace concerns.
- Conduct thorough and objective workplace investigations and provide clear reporting and recommendations to Cosm HR Leadership and the General Manager.
- Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, promotions, job changes, recognition program, leaves of absence, relocations, immigration matters, terminations, and exit processes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations (e.g., Wage & Hour, OSHA, EEO, ERISA), proactively identifying risk and reinforcing a strong culture of compliance.
- Administer the annual performance review process and coach leaders on effective performance management, feedback, and employee development.
- Act as the initial point of contact for benefits-related questions and support employee understanding of available programs.
- Oversee and enhance employee recognition programs that reinforce performance, engagement, and Cosm’s values.
- Review and approve employee transitions including hires, transfers, and promotions.
- Oversee new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a strong, consistent, and engaging employee experience.
- Partner on the annual compensation and bonus planning, including salary recommendations, promotions, equity adjustments, and performance-based rewards.
- Serve as the on-site HR contact for payroll issues, partnering with the General Manager and department leaders to submit accurate weekly payroll and maintain compliance.
