Position Summary:
The Recruiter will be responsible for recruiting candidates for Tommy Nobis Center (TNC). This position will develop, manage, and maintain a pipeline of candidates for all of TNC’s roles. The Recruiter will promote TNC’s comprehensive employment and people and culture services as well as enforcing company policies and practices.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:- Responsible for talent acquisition and recruitment processes by collaborating with the People and Culture team to develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Keeps up to date with the latest employment legislation and regulations as well as Recruiting/P&C trends and best practices. Makes recommendations for improvements.
- Prepares and posts job openings, composes and places ads with WebATS, DOL, website and other agencies as for all Tommy Nobis Center and Nobis Enterprise positions.
- Attracts suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, job fairs, social media, etc.
- Schedules interviews, prepares interview information and any prescreening materials utilized for all staff openings. Coordinates with People & Culture team and other applicable interviewers.
- Assesses applicants' knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
- Manage background screening for candidates as well as initial onboarding process for new hires.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
- Responds to People & Culture-related inquiries as needed.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, rehabilitation, business administration, or a related field preferred
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
- 3-5 years recruiting/human resources experience, with experience with HRMS/HRIS systems
- Mission driven, guided by core values and a pleasure to work with.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the people and culture field.
- Understanding of state and federal employment regulations
- Understanding of personnel and compliance records management
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Able to converse and build business relationships.
- Must pass drug screen and background check.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
