PEPL is seeking a Senior Benefits Consultant for a client in Atlanta, GA. The Senior Benefits Consultant is responsible for the communication, compliance, and administration of comprehensive employee benefit programs. This role will operate at a senior level, ensuring that benefit offerings including health, welfare, retirement, leave, and wellness programs are competitive, cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.
Experience with UKG, health and welfare, and retirement plans/vendors is required.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with external vendors, consultants, and advisors to support the delivery of benefit programs.
- Provide strategic oversight of benefits systems, including UKG Pro and bswift
- Guide system configuration decisions to support evolving business needs and improve employee experience
- Partner with HRIS and Payroll teams to ensure data integrity, system performance, and user adoption
- Evaluate and recommend technology enhancements or new tools to support benefits administration
- Provide executive-level insights and recommendations to senior leadership on benefits trends, risks, and opportunities
- Serve as the primary liaison between the benefits team and executive stakeholders
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and resource allocations for strategic benefits initiatives
- Ensure benefits programs comply with regulations, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and provincial laws
- Oversee governance frameworks for vendor management, data privacy, and audit readiness
- Support the development and maintenance of policies, SOPs, and internal controls
- Lead required annual audits (e.g., 401(k)) and manage preparation and submission of compliance filings such as Form 5500
- Maintain audit‑ready documentation and oversee internal compliance processes
- Oversee administration of benefit plans including health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), FSA, HSA, EAP, wellness, and ancillary offerings
- Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, renewals, and performance tracking
- Ensure timely and accurate benefits reporting, billing, and data management
- Prepare and present reports on benefits metrics to senior management and stakeholders
- Provide guidance on benefits communication and education to employees.
- Knowledge of UKG required and bswift preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in benefits program management, ideally with several years of functional leadership.
- Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and senior leadership.
