About the RoleThe Human Resources Administration (HRA) division of DOAS is seeking an experienced HCM Training Specialist (HR Specialist
3) to support statewide agencies in implementing talent solutions—specifically focusing on talent acquisition and performance management programs.
This role is ideal for a dynamic, detail-oriented, tech-savvy HR professional with strong communication skills and experience in training delivery, Workday systems, and HR program support.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging in-person and virtual training related to Georgia’s new Workday-based HRIS: GA@WORK.
- Train agency recruiters on talent acquisition strategies, recruiting workflow optimization, hiring best practices, and Workday system utilization.
- Research training best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of GA@WORK training programs.
- Analyze GA@WORK-related data and create reports, visuals, and presentations.
- Maintain, update, and improve training materials, handouts, course content, and exercises.
- Conduct instructor-led sessions and facilitate hands-on system activities using training environments or simulation tools.
- Support the management of HRA’s Learning Management System (LMS) including enrollments, issues, and course administration.
- Respond to inquiries from multiple statewide stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Proven experience conducting training: classroom, virtual, online, multimedia.
- Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to present credibly to all levels.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Strong technology aptitude for training design, HRIS usage, and data analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Local candidates only.
- Hybrid schedule (telework encouraged; onsite days required—schedule to be finalized).
- Position is funded through the fiscal year with anticipated renewal on July 1.
- High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of job-related HR experience;
- OR 1 year at HR Specialist 2 (HRP
021) level or equivalent; - OR any equivalent combination of education, training, internships, and experience providing the required HR knowledge and skills.
- Experience with Workday Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Optimization/Management, or similar modules within HR.
- HRIS systems training or administration experience.
