• Responsible for assisting laboratory staff in routine tests used in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Computer data entry and documentation.
• Responsible for performing all duties in accordance with Practice policies and procedures.

REQUIRED:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) PLUS 2.
• At least one year of experience in a medical setting.
• Minimum one year of laboratory experience; customer service, specimen processing.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems and design.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of the team.
• Ability to communicate effectively and must possess good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to understand and apply accurate procedures in specimen handling and clerical processing.

PREFERRED:

• CMA/RMA
• Clinic setting experience.
• Phlebotomy experience.
• Detail oriented and precise.
• Possesses the tact to deal effectively with patients, guests, co-workers and physicians.
