Job SummaryThe Patient Service and Support Specialist assists in the efficient processing and reporting of patient care data for outside regulatory agencies. They also support patient care by providing exceptional customer service at the point of care in their assigned clinic location. Patient-focused duties include greeting patients on clinic floor, assisting patients with immediate scheduling needs, checking the patients out in Epic at the conclusion of their visit and closing out all visits at the end of the day.
Data-focused duties include collecting and entering encounter forms, extracting missing data from Epic, performing data quality checks, scanning all completed forms and running reports to ensure accurate data.
Education
Required:
HS diploma or GED
Preferred:
Two years of college coursework
Experience
Required:
At least 1 year of healthcare related experience.
Preferred:
Experience in social services, healthcare or customer service.
