Transplant/LVAD Evaluation Coordinator job at Piedmont Healthcare Inc.. Atlanta, GA.

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the left ventricular assist device (LVAD) program and the heart transplant program; to coordinate and manage the patient care of this high-risk patient population throughout the continuum.

Graduate from a Registered Nurse Program.

Two (2) years of professional clinical experience required.

Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS and ACLS certification required.

• Cardiovascular focus experience preferred.
• One (1) year experience caring for LVAD patients and heart transplant patients preferred.
• Leadership qualities including time management, verbal and good written communication skills, listening skills, decision making, priority setting and work organization skills. Must be self-directed and use independent judgment. Effective communication skills and team building skills required. Demonstrate compassionate patient communication.
