We are seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Emergency Mgt Spec 2 within the Fulton County Board of Health in the Emergency Preparedness Division
.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, coordinates disaster response or crisis management activities, provides disaster preparedness training and prepares emergency plans and procedures. Administrative duties. Inventory and supply coordinator. This position may require working on some weekends, after hours and holidays.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of experience in emergency management; or two (2) years of experience required at the lower level Emergency Mgt Spec 1 (PSP
070) or position equivalent.

    Requires the ability to synthesize, hypothesize, and/or theorize concerning data involving modification of existing policies, strategies, and/or methods to meet unique or unusual conditions. Requires the ability to do so within the context of existing organizational theories and management principles.
  • Human Interaction:
    Requires the ability to function in a managerial capacity for a division or organizational unit; includes the ability to make decisions on procedural and technical levels.
  • Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Materials Utilization:
    Requires the ability to operate and control the actions of equipment and machinery, requiring the monitoring, adjustment, regulation, and/or setting of multiple conditions.
  • Verbal Aptitude:
    Requires the ability to utilize a wide variety of references, descriptive, advisory, and/or design data and information.
  • Mathematical Aptitude:
    Requires the ability to perform moderately complex algebraic and geometric operations; ability to utilize principles of basic probability and statistical inference.
  • Functional Reasoning:
    Requires the ability to apply principles of logical or synthesis functions; deal with concrete and abstract variables; and analyze major problems that require complex planning for interrelated activities that can span one or several work units.
  • Situational Reasoning:
    Requires the ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in critical and/or unexpected situations involving moderate risk to the organization.
