Healthcare Market Leader – Atlanta

McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture is seeking a Healthcare Market Leader to drive strategy, growth, and client engagement within the healthcare market. This role partners with the Practice Leader and studio leadership to develop and implement strategic market plans, enhance brand presence, and expand market share.

Position Summary

The Healthcare Market Leader drives strategy, growth, and client engagement within the healthcare market. This role partners with the Practice Leader and studio leadership to develop and implement strategic market plans, enhance brand presence, and expand market share.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic market plans in collaboration with the Practice Leader to enhance brand presence and market share.
  • Partner with studio and office leadership to achieve strategic goals.
  • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to identify and pursue opportunities.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and professional organization to enhance visibility and thought leadership.
  • Coach and mentor practice area members on healthcare trends, innovations, and regulations.
  • Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, internal/external clients, and industry influencers.
  • Act as account executive for healthcare clients within assigned market.
  • Support business planning for additional service lines and Advisory Services.
  • Serve as the primary client interface for the practice in the respective market, building and maintaining strong connections.
  • Engage from initial marketing stages through construction completion.
  • Evaluate studio efficiency and effectiveness with Project Delivery Leader and Project Managers, monitoring staff, business, and financial operations.
  • Monitor staffing, utilization, and growth across the studio.
  • Travel up to 35% of the time.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (or related field) and licensed to practice.
  • At least ten years of combined internship and professional experience, including managing teams and projects.
  • Proven experience with healthcare projects such as laboratories, research facilities, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare environments.
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare operations and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Expertise in design, project management, estimating, budgets, and delivery of projects on time.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to motivate and guide teams while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, familiar with Adobe software, and strong knowledge of building technology.
  • Highly organized, quick to learn, attentive to detail, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates cultural awareness and sensitivity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Architecture.
  • Leadership experience on projects that have won design awards.
  • Experience in public or private presentations, workshops, etc.
  • Experience with Newforma Project Center and/or Newforma Project Analyzer.
  • Experience with Bluebeam PDF Revu.
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit software.
  • Additional certifications such as construction administration, interior design, LEED/Green Globes/sustainability, etc.

Workplace Environment

The employee may occasionally be exposed to hazardous working conditions during construction site visits; the noise level in the construction zone may be loud. In the office environment, exposure to hazardous conditions is minimal and noise level moderate.
