Blood Bank Medical Technologist – Northside Hospital

Responsibilities- Perform technical and regulatory oversight in Transfusion Services.
- Carry out laboratory procedures according to standards and regulations.
- Submit to a Color‑Acuity screening test.
- Required
- Bachelor’s degree in laboratory science, medical technology, or related field from an accredited institution and eligibility for a certification examination.
- Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW).
- Associate’s degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology and certification as a Medical Technologist.
- Graduate of a Military Program in Science and certification as a Medical Technologist.
- Grandfathered Medical Technologist qualified as a technologist on or before February 28, 1992 and current certification.
- Ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations.
- Preferred
- Experience in a Clinical Laboratory Setting.
