Job Summary: The Violence Intervention Specialist intervenes in acute situations, provides outreach, trauma‑informed and trauma‑focused counseling, and case management for youth and adolescents (ages 14–24) who are victims of interpersonal violence. The candidate must be able to provide clinical services in a non‑traditional setting (hospital; home; school), utilize a wide range of strategies to address symptoms of trauma, and provide case management services to support individuals in increasing meaningful connections to school, employment, family, social supports, and services.
The role requires a significant amount of community/home‑based work, evening hours, and willingness to engage in diverse communities in and around Atlanta, GA.
