Edwards Psychological Associates is a vibrant and busy private practice in the heart of Atlanta with an engaging, collaborative, team of well-trained psychologists. We are looking for a licensed (or soon to be licensed) psychologist to see children, adolescents, and family clients in a flexible 1099 position.

We provide a fully furnished office, referrals to fill a caseload (we are typically able to easily build a caseload of preferred clients within a few months), regular consultation, admin/billing support (we do not accept insurance), and opportunities for other paid professional activities (workshops, group therapy, CE talks, etc.).

Description of Duties – provide individual psychotherapy for an average of 18-20 clients per week, complete documentation prior to close of week or close of day for any sessions pertaining to risk issues, schedule and communicate with clients and prospective clients, provide weekly accounting of sessions to administrative assistant for billing purposes, engage in consultation as needed.

Training Requirements
  • PhD or PsyD in psychology; licensed in the state of Georgia or licensure eligible within the next 12 months
  • Training in BOTH skills based therapies (i.e., DBT, CBT, ACT, TF-CBT, ERP) AND insight/emotion focused therapies (i.e., interpersonal, attachment, psychodynamic)
  • Ability to quickly form strong relationships with a variety of clients and solid differential diagnosis abilities; able to be active and direct in session and/or with parents as needed
  • Personality - warm and engaging, flexible, confident, collaborative, healthy boundaries, high work ethic and motivated to learn
