Nocturnist Labor & Delivery Triage NP / PA
Emory Healthcare is seeking a Nocturnist Labor & Delivery Triage NP/PA to provide comprehensive obstetric care on our Labor & Delivery Triage unit. The role is exclusively nocturnal, with anticipated 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM shifts (3‑13 supply), and does not include on‑call duties.
OverviewThe ideal candidate will have prior obstetric experience as an NP or PA, with strong triage skills highly desired. This position offers competitive base pay and participation in an annual AP Incentive Plan.

- Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients.
- Documents delivery of care in the individual's medical records.
- Conducts patient interviews and documents histories, psychosocial histories, health status, and medical problems or potential problems.
- Under physician direction performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic or therapeutic procedures (cast application/ removal, wound suturing, dressing changes).
- Assists physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment.
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Licensed as an advanced practice nurse in Georgia and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association); ACLS may be required in some areas.
- At least one year of direct experience in a high‑acuity clinical specialty (e.g., labor & delivery).
