Overview
Georgia Health Policy Center, Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, Georgia State University. GHPC is seeking a Research Coordinator II (RC II) to join the team and contribute to research, evaluation, policy development, and programmatic implementation projects. This is an Atlanta-based in-office position. GHPC aims to integrate research, policy, and programs to advance health and wellbeing.

- Coordinate day-to-day project activities across multiple programmatic, research, evaluation, training, and/or technical assistance projects.
- Maintain project schedules, monitor progress against timelines, and support task tracking.
- Schedule and provide logistical support for meetings and events, including large convenings.
- Build internal and external relationships to increase support for the work, particularly among contracted partners and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the team to inform overall strategic direction, communications, project development, and project management.
- Process invoices, track project expenses, and support budget management as needed.
- Manage meeting and event announcements, track participation, and provide follow-up.
- Support preparation of literature reviews and landscape scans for various projects and topics.
- Support the preparation of grant applications, including gathering required information and organizing attachments.
- Serve as a professional and responsive point of contact for internal and external collaborators.
- Coordinate communication with project partners, state agencies, community organizations, consultants, and funders.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of general health policy and health equity.
- Knowledge of research administration procedures.
- Knowledge of computer software packages, including Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of virtual meeting software, including Zoom and MS Teams.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and solve problems.
- Ability to design multiphase tasks and operations.
- Ability to support multiple team members.
- Understanding of project management principles.
- Knowledge and interest in one or more of these areas: substance use disorder; behavioral health and developmental disabilities; child and adolescent mental health; LGBTQ+ health; community health needs assessments; health and racial equity; social determinants of health; infant and early childhood systems; maternal and child health.
- Master's degree in assigned research area; or a combination of education and related experience.
