Provides spiritual and pastoral support to patients, family members, visitors, and employees and provides supportive services to the community.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Provides spiritual care and counseling to patients, families and visitors, hospital staff and community.
2. Provides appropriate assistance to patients, family members.
3. Conducts worship services.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university and a Master’s degree in Theology, Divinity, Religion, Counseling, or related field required.
Work Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years pastoral experience required for On Call.
- Minimum of four (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education required. Eccelsiastical endorsement from the appropriate denomination required. Ordination preferred. Previous hospital experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- Certification or certification eligible by pastoral care organization preferred.
