Required Hours: Tuesday-Saturday 8am-4:30pm
ResponsibilitiesProvides occupational therapy specialized care services for patients admitted in the ICU assisting them to reach highest level of functional independence. Patient population including but not limited to: LVAD, IABP, ECMO, and Heart Transplant. Conducts occupational therapy evaluations, modalities, and treatments. Specialized in care for complex patient types through advanced training and education. Responsible for the care of patients treated by certified occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelors degree in occupational therapy.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a BS, MS, or OTD. Must maintain current CEUs as required by the State.
Licenses and Certifications
- Current Occupational Therapist licensure in the State of Georgia. BLS required.
Additional Qualifications
Successful completion of the ICU orientation within 1 year of hire. Experience with research and analysis of data preferred. Must be able to evaluate data and make independent decisions. Two years of previous healthcare experience as an Occupational therapist preferred.
