Location:

Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia, with coverage for Burke, Jenkins, and Screven counties. Frequent travel required throughout the area.

• Initial investigations of APS reports and determination of intervention within a standard of promptness.
• Evaluate risk to clients and take appropriate action to ensure safety.
• Provide follow‑up, consultations and other resources to stabilize situations and prevent recurrence of abuse/neglect/exploitation.
• Initiate legal process for guardianship when necessary.
• Maintain required documentation and complete reports within standards of promptness.
• Maintain knowledge of current policies, laws, trends and developments in the field by attending training sessions and meetings.
• Perform other professional responsibilities as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• OR 1 year of experience at the lower level Adult Protective Services Case Manager 1 or position equivalent.

• Experience working with specific issues such as family violence, crisis intervention, substance abuse, services to the elderly or disabled.
• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services program.
• Valid driver’s license and consistent access to a vehicle for required work‑related activities.
