Adult Protective Services Case Manager 2
Location:
Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia, with coverage for Burke, Jenkins, and Screven counties. Frequent travel required throughout the area.

Role And Responsibilities- Initial investigations of APS reports and determination of intervention within a standard of promptness.
- Evaluate risk to clients and take appropriate action to ensure safety.
- Provide follow‑up, consultations and other resources to stabilize situations and prevent recurrence of abuse/neglect/exploitation.
- Initiate legal process for guardianship when necessary.
- Maintain required documentation and complete reports within standards of promptness.
- Maintain knowledge of current policies, laws, trends and developments in the field by attending training sessions and meetings.
- Perform other professional responsibilities as assigned.
- Provides services and information to honor all State commitments to internal and external by delivering helpful, courteous, accessible, responsive, and knowledgeable service.
- Cooperates with others to accomplish common goals; works as a team player within and across departments.
- Treats others with dignity and respect, maintains a friendly demeanor and values contributions of others.

- Has excellent oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- OR 1 year of experience at the lower level Adult Protective Services Case Manager 1 or position equivalent.
- Experience working with specific issues such as family violence, crisis intervention, substance abuse, services to the elderly or disabled.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services program.
- Valid driver’s license and consistent access to a vehicle for required work‑related activities.
