Job Title: Property & Casualty Intern – 2026

The Property & Casualty Practice seeks to hire an Actuarial Intern for the Summer of 2026 to support our self‑insurance business. You will work with senior consultants and gain exposure to large corporate, captive insurance, state regulator, and healthcare client projects. Your responsibilities will involve using analytical skills to solve complex problems.

Potential Projects:

  • Assisting in loss reserving, cash flow projections, and loss forecasting
  • Compiling data, developing spreadsheet exhibits, performing basic analysis, and summarizing internet research
  • Utilizing R and R Shiny to support a business intelligence application and other tools
  • Reserve analysis, cash flow projections, benchmarking, and due diligence for mergers & acquisitions

All interns participate in a six‑week actuarial bootcamp featuring presentations, case studies, and mentorship sessions.

Salary Range: $28.00 – $36.25 per hour. Final compensation will consider experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and applicable minimum wage requirements.

Skills and Attributes
  • Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
  • Commitment to passing actuarial exams
  • Desire for rapid learning, high performance, and professional growth
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management and team collaboration skills
  • Strong technical exposure to MS Office; proficiency in Excel; knowledge of VBA or R preferred
