Continuum Cloud is growing and is seeking a self-starting, detail-oriented and experienced Tax & Banking Analyst assigned to an external client base for payroll and tax processing to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Tax & Compliance, this role is part of a dynamic software development environment with an emphasis on superior customer service and innovation.
The Tax and Banking Specialist is responsible for ensuring theaccurateandtimelyprocessing of payroll taxes and banking transactions on behalf of our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of payroll tax regulations, including IRS Publication 15 and 15-A, anda strong senseof fiduciary responsibility in handling client funds. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly communicative, and committed to upholding our contractual obligations with precision and professionalism.
Must be US citizen, or have a valid work authorization. Candidates preferred be located in Atlanta, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities- Payroll Tax Expertise:
Maintaina comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including IRS Publication 15 and 15-A. - Fiduciary Responsibility:
Ensure all client payroll tax deposits and filings are completed accurately and on time,in accordance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements. - Tax Notice Resolution:
Communicate effectively with tax agencies to resolve client tax notices, discrepancies, and inquiries. - Client Confidence:
Clearly and professionally communicate tax case resolutions to clients, reinforcing trust in our processes and expertise. - Internal
Collaboration:
Work closely with Implementation, Payroll, and Client Services teams to ensure tax-related issues are addressed promptly and accurately. - Banking Operations:
Oversee the secure andtimelymovement of client funds for payroll and tax payments, ensuring compliance with internal controls and banking protocols. - Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of tax filings, payments, and correspondence with agencies; provide regular updates and reports to internal stakeholders. - Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline tax and banking workflows and contribute to bestpracticesdocumentation.
- Demonstrates deep knowledge of IRS guidelines and payroll tax regulations.
- Ensures strict adherence to federal, state, and local compliance standards.
- Handles sensitive financial data with discretion, accuracy, and accountability.
- Maintains rigorous internal controls to safeguard client funds.
- Investigates and resolves tax discrepancies with precision and persistence.
- Applies critical thinking to complex tax and banking issues.
- Communicates clearly and professionally with clients and tax agencies.
- Builds trust through transparency, responsiveness, and expertise.
- Partners effectively with internal teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Facilitates knowledge sharing across departments to enhance service delivery.
- Identifies inefficiencies and recommends improvements to tax and banking workflows.
- Contributes to documentation of best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Maintainsaccuraterecords and ensures error-free tax filings and fund transfers.
- Reviews data meticulously to prevent compliance risks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in payroll tax processing, banking operations, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of IRS payroll tax guidelines, especially Publication 15 and 15-A.
- Experience communicating with federal andstatetax agencies to resolve notices and inquiries.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive financial data with discretion and integrity.
- Experience with payroll platforms and tax filing systems.
- Familiarity with ACH and banking protocols for payroll transactions.
- Certification such asEA (Enrolled Agent),FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) is preferred but not required.
- Experience in a client-facing role with strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
