The Accounting Integration Manager will play a critical role in supporting Waverly’s continued growth through mergers and acquisitions. This position leads the beginning-to-end accounting integration of newly acquired firms, ensuring seamless onboarding into Waverly’s ERP systems, revenue processes, and financial reporting structure. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, systems experience, and project management capabilities to ensure clean data migration, accurate revenue recognition, and alignment with internal policies and GAAP.
AccountingIntegration & Systems Alignment
- Lead end-to-end accounting integration efforts for newly acquired entities, including system mapping, data conversion, and process alignment.
- Develop and execute integration plans covering general ledger structure, revenue streams, billing workflows, and operational accounting processes.
- Standardize and normalize financial data from acquired firms to ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and GAAP.
- Partner with IT and Finance teams to ensure successful ERP onboarding and reporting alignment.
- Analyze procurement-related expenses and vendor spending to identify trends, cost savings, and efficiencies.
- Provide support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including invoice review and coding.
- Assist Finance leadership with reporting related to procurement, contracts, and vendor spending.
- Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, and Accounting teams to fully integrate acquired firms into enterprise financial systems.
- Design and implement automation solutions to reduce manual entries and improve efficiency.
- Support documentation, training, and post-integration transition efforts for accounting teams.
- Continuously evaluate and improve integration processes to support ongoing M&A activity and firm growth.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4–7+ years of experience in accounting, financial systems, or M&A integration.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and reconciliation processes.
- Experience integrating acquired entities into ERP or financial systems (e.g., Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP).
- CPA license or progress toward certification.
- Experience working in a high-growth, multi-entity organization.
- Exposure to SaaS, subscription-based revenue models, or complex billing structures.
- Experience leading cross-functional integration projects.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and normalize diverse financial data sets.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, acquisitive environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Professional discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
- Limited travel may be required to support integration efforts.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
