Job DescriptionAs a Manager, you will collaborate with senior consultants and industry leaders on a broad range of client projects. You will progressively interact directly with clients, including leading insurance companies, healthcare systems, regulatory agencies, large employers and private equity firms, within a motivated and knowledgeable team.
Potential Projects- Health insurance product development, modeling, and analysis for the ACA small‑group and individual markets, and large‑group markets
- Assisting with setting pricing assumptions, trends, and pricing methodologies
- Medical and pharmacy claims analysis, including benchmarking to applicable industry experience
- Market simulation analyses of proposed federal and state legislation
- Support of regulatory changes and implementation
- Evaluation of provider contracts and the impact of changes on rates
- Analysis of value‑based care and other risk‑taking arrangements
- Evaluation of care‑management programs
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related field
- Minimum of two actuarial exams passed; additional progress toward ACAS/FCAS preferred
- 4+ years of actuarial experience in the commercial or provider markets
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience delegating components of projects and strong project‑management skills
- Track record of rapid learning, high performance and professional growth
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships
- Excellent time‑management and collaborative skills, working effectively in a team setting
- Deep critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities
- Motivated, dynamic, and willing to work in a fast‑changing environment
- Strong skills with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SAS, SQL, R, Python, VBA or other programming languages; experience in R, SAS, SQL or VBA is a plus
Salary Range: $107,000 – $160,000 (base)
The base pay will be determined by experience, skills, training, location, certifications and education. Performance‑based incentives may also be available.
