Our client, a large medical practice, is seeking a Senior Director of Financial Strategy and Analytics for a full-time, direct hire role with great benefits.
This position will be based in Sandy Springs, GA with 1-2 days per week spent in the McDonough office and 1 day working remotely. Travel to other regional offices is expected, as needed.
Position SummaryThe Senior Director of Financial Strategy & Analytics is responsible for enterprise-wide financial oversight, strategic analytics, and revenue optimization. This role integrates high-level accounting leadership with advanced healthcare financial analytics to drive informed decision-making and sustainable organizational growth.
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Senior Director provides strategic leadership across accounting operations, financial reporting, data governance, payer performance, and long-range financial planning. This position partners closely with executive leadership, clinical leadership, and operational stakeholders to enhance financial performance, strengthen internal controls, and align financial strategy with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities Enterprise Financial Leadership- Provide managerial oversight of all accounting operations including general ledger, financial close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Oversee development and execution of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long‑range financial plans.
- Lead financial risk management and internal control strategies.
- Drive financial performance monitoring across all service lines and locations.
- Lead enterprise‑wide financial and operational analytics initiatives.
- Develop advanced financial models to support provider compensation, service line profitability, capital investments, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through comprehensive analysis of clinical, operational, and financial data.
- Oversee executive dashboards and performance reporting platforms.
- Translate complex data into actionable strategic recommendations.
- Provide strategic oversight of payer contract modeling and reimbursement analysis.
- Lead payment variance analysis and revenue optimization initiatives.
- Partner with revenue cycle leadership to improve reimbursement performance and operational efficiency.
- Monitor regulatory and reimbursement changes impacting financial performance.
- Provide managerial oversight of financial and operational data integrity.
- Collaborate with IT and operations to optimize ERP, EMR, billing systems, and Enterprise Data Warehouse capabilities.
- Establish reporting standards and analytics governance processes.
- Serve as a key strategic advisor to the CFO.
- Present financial insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, service expansions, and capital planning initiatives as needed.
- Lead cross‑functional financial strategy initiatives.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to accounting and analytics functions.
- Develop leadership bench strength within finance and analytics teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, data‑driven decision‑making, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Health Informatics, Statistics, or related field required.
- MBA, MHA, CPA, or other advanced credentials strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in the healthcare industry is required.
- Demonstrated experience leading both accounting operations and advanced financial analytics.
- Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and payer contracting.
- Experience managing large datasets and financial systems within complex organizations.
- Proven ability to partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives.
- Advanced ERP proficiency (Sage Intacct or comparable system).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Data Warehouse environments preferred.

Base Salary: $175,k/yr. Final determination of salary will be based on an evaluation of experience, education, budget, etc.
