Assistant Controller

Location: North Druid Hills, GA
Salary Range: $80,000 – $110,000 annually

Position Overview

The Assistant Controller will partner closely with the Controller in a hands‑on role with direct ownership over financial reporting, close processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to supervise and mentor accounting staff while contributing to a collaborative, mission‑driven environment that prioritizes strong internal controls and accurate, timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes, including preparation and analysis of financial statements.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
  • Help implement, monitor, and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff while working closely with the Controller on department initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Progressive accounting experience with hands‑on exposure to close and financial reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
