Job Description
We are seeking a Foreign Exchange Operations Risk Support. This role will partner with Foreign Exchange Managers, senior leaders within the Line of Business, Risk/Compliance/Audit (RCA) Consultants, RCA Managers and other Senior RCA Managers to oversee the creation, implementation, and maintenance of an effective risk management framework.
An ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. They are skilled at building effective risk frameworks, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence across complex financial environments.
Key Responsibilities- Accountable for projects and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Identifies gaps and drives solutions that minimize losses from inadequate internal controls, processes, procedures, systems, or human errors. Accountable for active identification, response and/or escalation of risks as appropriate.
- Influences policies and procedures to maximize profit potential and minimize regulatory exposure.
- Accountable for an effective partnership between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense.
- Bachelor s degree, or equivalent work experience
- 10 or more years of applicable experience
- Applicable professional certifications
- Works with risk partners to stay abreast of regulatory developments related to Foreign Exchange and other capital markets businesses.
- 5 or more years of risk-based finance experience.
- Knowledge of Basel capital governance, compliance and risk management practices.
- Knowledge of capital markets businesses, e.g. Foreign Exchange and Derivatives, and appropriate risk management practices.
- Understanding of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends affecting the assigned line of business.
- Ability to build and manage a team of Business Risk professionals who work with business line management as appropriate.
- Basic knowledge of Business Risk competencies.
- Strong process facilitation and project management skills.
- Strong presentation, relationship building and negotiation skills.
- Business acumen and credibility to help business lines proactively identify and address changing workforce needs.
- Understanding of the business line s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls.
- Knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies.
- Knowledge of risk management models, policies, and procedures.
- Effective skills in managing stressful situations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications.
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
