Job Summary

Our team has extensive experience with a wide range of clients from middle‑market, closely held organizations, to large Fortune 500 companies. We focus on finance and accounting, internal audit, IT audit and tax, and offer direct, personal involvement from senior practitioners to meet clients’ needs rapidly.

This is a pipeline opportunity with UHY Resource Solutions Group rather than an active job opening. While there is no immediate hiring need, we are proactively identifying strong candidates for future Controller‑level opportunities with our clients. These opportunities are typically high‑impact, hands‑on assignments where experience matters. You will be supporting companies through complex SALT issues, audits, transactions, or periods of change. Timing varies, so this post is about being prepared, not chasing a single open role.

• Leading or advising on multi‑state income, franchise, sales & use, and gross receipts tax matters
• Nexus studies, exposure analyses, and remediation strategies
• SALT audit defense and controversy management
• Acting as a senior advisor to Controllers, Tax Directors, or CFOs
• Providing practical guidance, not academic memos

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or MBA preferred
• 10+ years of hands‑on accounting and tax experience
• Strong experience preparing journal entries and performing account analysis
• Able to work independently and dive into detailed, high‑volume reconciliations

Prior consulting or project‑based experience is a plus.
