Overview
Tax Director - National Tax Office (JD Required). Eisner Amper is seeking a Tax Director to lead federal income tax issues related to operating partnerships, M&A tax structuring, and internal restructuring. The role involves contributing to firm-wide tax initiatives, trainings, and alerts, while supporting the Firm’s commitment to innovation and professional development.
Responsibilities- Research and analyze various federal income tax issues in connection with operating partnerships.
- Assist with M&A tax structuring and internal restructuring.
- Draft emails and memos.
- Draft firm-wide alerts on current developments.
- Assist with firm-wide trainings.
- Assist with Federal domestic tax due diligence in connection with M&A transactions.
- Basic Qualifications:
- CPA or JD or LL.M (Tax).
- 20+ years of progressive federal income tax consulting experience dealing with operating partnerships.
- Strong experience with substantive partnership tax issues, including allocations, liabilities, capital shifts, continuations, divisions, and profits interests. Experience working at a large accounting firm.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency with Excel.
- Strong proficiency with tax research databases (Bloomberg BNA, RIA Checkpoint).

Compensation & LocationFor Minnesota and Illinois, the expected salary range is between $170,000 and $300,000. For NYC and California, the expected salary range is between $120,000 and $250,000. The range for other geographies may vary based on market differences. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
