Overview
We are a fast-growing, partner-led investment bank specializing in debt advisory and capital markets solutions for middle-market and institutional clients. As we continue to scale across strategies, products, and legal entities, we are seeking a Vice President of Finance to own the firm’s financial infrastructure and act as a thought partner to senior leadership.
This role sits at the intersection of FP&A, accounting oversight, and strategic decision support
, with meaningful exposure to investor relations and firm-level economics
. The ideal candidate is both technically strong and commercially minded—comfortable moving from board-level analysis to rolling up sleeves in the details.
- Own the end-to-end FP&A function
, including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning - Develop and maintain cash flow models
, scenario analyses, and liquidity forecasting across multiple legal entities - Produce timely, decision-oriented monthly and quarterly reporting packages for senior management and partners
- Build performance analytics around:
- Revenue by product, client, and banker
- Compensation economics and incentive structures
- Firm-level and practice-level profitability
- Continuously improve forecasting accuracy, reporting cadence, and analytical rigor as the firm scales
- Oversee day-to-day corporate accounting and fund accounting
, ensuring accuracy, controls, and compliance - Manage and develop an internal accounting team; set clear expectations, workflows, and development paths
- Partner with external firms on tax, audit, and technical accounting matters
- Ensure clean close processes and scalable financial systems across multiple entities and structures
- Support investor reporting
, capital partner communications, and ad-hoc analysis - Assist in preparing materials for:
- Capital raises or balance sheet initiatives
- Strategic planning and growth initiatives
- Gain direct exposure to firm leadership, economics, and long-term strategic decision-making
- Leadership has clear, timely visibility into firm performance and forward outlook
- Budgets and forecasts are credible, dynamic, and decision-ready
- Accounting and fund operations run smoothly, accurately, and on time
- Finance function evolves from “reporting” to strategic enablement
- The firm is equipped with financial infrastructure that supports scale
- 7–12+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, or a related role within:
- Investment banking
- Alternative asset management
- Financial services or professional services
- Strong command of:
- FP&A and financial modeling
- Cash flow and liquidity management
- Multi-entity accounting environments
- Experience managing and developing teams
- High level of comfort working with senior leadership and ownership groups
- CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred but not required
