The Post-Award Grant Management Specialist is responsible for the financial and administrative management of federal, state, and private grants after awards have been received. This role ensures compliance with sponsor requirements and institutional policies, provides timely reporting, and supports faculty and staff with the effective stewardship of awarded funds.
Responsibilities- Monitor grant expenditures to ensure compliance with sponsor terms, budgets, and allowable cost principles (Uniform Guidance and other applicable regulations).
- Track and reconcile grant accounts, process budget adjustments, cost transfers, and drawdowns as required.
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and audit-ready grant records and documentation.
- Prepare and submit required financial sponsors and ensure timely completion of grant closeout procedures.
- Provide guidance to faculty and staff on post-award grant management procedures, including allowable costs for travel and expenditures.
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience required.
- Knowledge of and experience in obtaining grants/contracts from federal/state/private agencies.
- Strong software and computer skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications- Knowledge of Uniform Guidance regulations and policies.
- Research and data management skills.
- Strong computer skills including word processing, database management, and spreadsheet skills required.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Experience working in a college or non-profit setting.
- Attention to detail required.
- Ability to research issues and propose solutions to problems required.
- Familiarity with non-federal grant and contract policies.
- Ability to work with individuals across divisions and administrative offices under hard deadlines.
- Sitting and standing for extended periods of time.
- Occasional walking as required.
