The Transaction Advisory team at Bennett Thrasher is seeking a Manager to join a dynamic, growing firm. The individual will facilitate and lead buy‑side, sell‑side, and related transaction advisory engagements.
Responsibilities- Works effectively in teams to provide quality service to clients
- Gains a comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes and business objectives, and utilizes that knowledge throughout engagements
- Communicates appropriately (both verbally and electronically) to clients and firm associates
- Understands fundamental accounting concepts and applies them in financial due diligence work
- Works across multiple projects under tight time frames while maintaining precision with the work product
- Develops financial data books, including ledger‑level build‑up, trending of the income statement and balance sheet, and related sub‑schedules
- Prepares quality of earnings, cash proof, working capital, net debt, and other ad‑hoc financial analyses
- Manages and prepares data requests and tracks key issues identified during the deal process
- Coordinates and facilitates conference calls and management meetings with client and target companies
- Maintains copious note‑taking and project organization and management skills
- Drafts financial due diligence and related reports for clients
- Effectively manages staff, as needed
- Contributes and supports new ideas on internal processes and client engagements
- Works with engagement team members and management to identify and resolve client issues discovered during engagements
- Communicates timely and effectively with management and the engagement team regarding performance and obstacles
- Gives and receives feedback to minimize repeated errors and apply new concepts
- Takes ownership of assignments to ensure timely completion and professional development
- Comfortable interacting and leading discussions with peers, managers, and clients
- Demonstrates integrity, objectivity, and a high standard of ethics
- Participates in industry and community networking events to expand professional connections
- Undergraduate degree required
- CPA preferred but not required
- Prior transaction advisory experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements required
- Proficient in financial reporting and analytics
- Proficient in Excel modeling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
- Proven time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Willingness to travel for engagements, if needed
