Job DescriptionThe Capital Markets Debt Operations group comprises Syndicated Loan Agency Services, Syndicated Loan Services, RSL Operations, RECM Operations, and Loan Trading Operations. These teams provide operational and risk management support for the $11B Regions‑led syndication portfolio, syndicated participation bought portfolio, FNMA, Freddie Mac, HUD, and loan trading portfolios.
Primary Responsibilities- Assist with deal closing and loan servicing support for the bank’s portfolio of syndicated/participated bank, where Regions is the Administrative Agent.
- Lead direct communication with borrowers, participant banks, Issuers, and other external stakeholders.
- Drive the closing process in support of the underwriter, capital markets and the syndicate bank group, including the review of credit approvals, legal documentation, due diligence, & funding & booking mechanics.
- Review legal documents to ensure documentation complies with Bank policy & procedure and accurately reflects the intentions of the credit approval.
- Provide review and approvals for all loan and payment activity by thoroughly understanding the credit agreement and related provisions.
- Ensure daily funding and payment activity to account for all daily cash transactions are completed timely and accurately by the team.
- Identify risk with past‑due principal, interest, and fees and escalates to management and across relevant business channels.
- Communicate with internal/external agents regarding issues around these specialized facilities.
- Provide SME assistance to teams in respect to loan related issues which may include missing payments, margin changes and/or unprocessed draw requests or conversions.
- Minimize operational risks and losses and ensure compliance with all bank policies and procedures.
- Read and interpret complex legal credit agreements and related documentation working with credit, legal, origination.
- Reconcile control reports and engage with leadership daily on Key Risk Indicators.
- Support co‑workers and work with various special projects or other tasks as assigned.
- Recommend latest methods to improve departmental procedures.
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of related syndicated loan work experience, particularly in an Administrative Agent role.
- Or Associate’s degree and eight (8) years of related syndicated loan work experience, particularly in an Administrative Agent role.
- Applicants will be expected to pass any assessment associated with the position.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate in a high‑pressure environment.
- Ability to work in a deadline‑oriented environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, SharePoint).
- Extremely detail oriented with a proven track record of accuracy.
- Knowledge of Bank systems used to manage the Syndicated lending business: ACBS, AFS Level III, Clearpar, Syndtrak, Notice Manager.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of operational and payment risk.

As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
