Senior Financial Analyst - Defense Industry

LHH (Atlanta) is partnering with a respected organization in the defense industry seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial performance, forecasting, and decision-making across a complex operating environment. This role offers strong visibility, cross-functional exposure, and the opportunity to influence key business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial performance and cost drivers to support margin and profitability insights
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning initiatives
• Build and maintain financial models to support business decisions
• Analyze monthly financial results and provide insights to leadership
• Partner cross-functionally to support forecasting accuracy and business planning
• Support revenue and cash flow analysis to improve predictability and performance
• Assist with the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare management reporting and ad hoc financial analysis
• Promote financial discipline, cost awareness, and value creation across the organization
• Support audit and compliance activities as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• 2+ years of progressive finance or financial analysis experience
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Power BI or similar BI / reporting tools strongly preferred
