Job Summary

The Billing Associate will be expected to manage tasks that include, but are not limited to, detailed financial transactions and interactions with both internal and external stakeholders. The ability to analyze complex information, effectively communicate across various levels within the organization, and deliver high-quality service while adhering to accounting standards is paramount.

Responsibilities
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of servicing agreements for a specific client portfolio.
  • Create summaries of each client’s billing framework and payment procedures.
  • Keep an updated log to track billing activities.
  • Utilize Excel to calculate monthly fees and produce corresponding invoices.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timely dispatch of invoices.
  • Address billing-related queries from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supply necessary data for the compilation of monthly revenue accruals.
  • Support the General Ledger (GL) team by helping to identify and correctly allocate incoming payments to their respective invoices.
  • Monitor the Accounts Receivable (AR) for the assigned client portfolio, actively pursuing resolution of outstanding receivables and unallocated payments.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or significant relevant experience
  • 2+ years of experience in billing and accounts receivable.
  • Familiarity with accounting software applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the use of VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
  • Strong desire to learn and a willingness to accept and act on feedback.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, emphasizing efficiency and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Obligation to providing outstanding customer service to colleagues and external clients alike.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all organizational levels.
  • Flexibility to handle and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
